# What makes PayScale different from Glassdoor or Salary.com?

Unlike other sites that claim to give you fresh, verified market data, only PayScale collects and thoroughly-validates the market data that you are looking at for your company’s unique roles. Glassdoor is not setup to validate of any it’s market data. Majority of it’s reviews are received by employees leaving a company during an exit survey. Salary.com collects non of it’s own survey data, but rather aggregates data from outside, unnamed surveys. As a result, it does not offer any fresh or up-to-date salary data.
