Asana is a great application for individuals or organization collaboration. It is essential to build worklists to monitor everything and to create more comprehensive project panels to maintain and cooperate throughout the workforce. Asana has a good user interface, including the use of color combinations, which helps users and work distinction. It may also be customized to provide you a picture of what’s better for your task. Asana also allows users to view their tasks, projects via their PC or smartphone faster.

For anyone who wants to be a power user, this is a powerful tool.

Easy to "plus" tasks into multiple places so they can be viewed in different places/projects across teams which I love.

Extremely powerful for a small team and can create LOTS of accountability.
Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?
Search in asana is AWFUL. You can only search the text of topline objects (e.g Projects, Tasks, etc.) If you keep information in comments of a task, descriptions of a project, descriptions of a task, custom fields, it is tough to seek out that info from within asana unless you know exactly where it lives.

It is extremely hard to keep assignees accountable at scale. Anyone can just unassign themselves work and it is very hard to track down that information without manual audits. Also, it is hard to enforce workflows dynamically. They have a dynamic dating system for premium (which we use) but it only works upon the creation of a project, not if deadlines are extended or tasks delayed. It also cannot dynamically assign PEOPLE to work based on roles or any automation tool like zapier or tray without a LOT of lift outside of asana.

I am not sure if there is a way administratively to prevent users in an org from deleting data from asana, and the archive function is not very clear in the UI so users LOVE to delete things if they no longer need them.

When using project templates with dependencies we had major issues with dependencies being related to multiple endpoint NEW projects created from the template project. VERY confusing for users and killed the native automation that we had set up to dynamically assign the next task's due date.

Generally, we are having a very tough time with scaling our sales process which is tracked across 4 sales-related teams within asana. The API is limiting in what we can do to support automation efforts and the lack of safeguards/validation rules is crippling our ability to stay with asana.

We are looking for a replacement or to move at least half of the process within SFDC.
