# How can I configure the use of individual codes to obtain participation points?

For example, when registering on a page, generating a random code and putting it in a field in the form

Hi Carlos, thanks for your question! You can use SweepWidget's "secret code" entry method: https://sweepwidget.com/docs/secret-code-entry-methods

With this entry method, the user must enter a secret code to obtain participation points. You also have the option to only give them points if they enter the correct secret code.

Good use cases of this are: announce a secret code in a video, in a blog post, in a social media post, etc. Then, require the user to enter that code into your SweepWidget contest. This a great incentive to get the users to engage with your content.
