# how to save data quota and safe personal data when using zoom

when we use zoom the data quota will feel wasteful when compared to the others and personal data is safe when using zoom

leave video off when you don't need it, turn off HD Video, when you do screen share only share as long as absolutely necessary, use online collaborative documents rather than screen sharing, mute your audio when not speaking, use the cloud recording option for zoom meetings, improveing your zoom performance overall.
