# How do I get a refund for this site and not be expected to turn into their sales rep and try to resell it to someone else? They state that in the contract it says no refund unless you go out and interview a bunch of people for 3 months. I wanted a community website where it can be resource to my town. The sales rep said it was a community site. Instead I find it was an interview feed disguised as a community website. We ensure that any interested sponsor understands this prior to any agreement being signed, both verbally and as written throughout the contract. Where we do offer refunds is when required by any province/state-required right of rescission period (commonly known as “Cooling Off Period”). The reason why all payments made to Parkbench are non-refundable is that there is a significant cost in the creation of the site and the content that is aggregated to it (e.g. the events, news, and deals) as well as the maintenance of the platform, and the coaching and support that is available to all our clients Monday through Friday. We know that our platform works for any personable, community-minded sponsor that follows our Local Leader system, including the interviews that a sponsor will be doing. It comes down to connection. If any sponsor is building and nurturing their network via the site’s features, social media, and interview process, they will get results. But, in the event that a sponsor is unable to get the agreed-upon ROI, we have the money-back guarantee in place to safeguard them which would be reviewed at the end of the sponsors’ term. In the first week I requested more details on the changes I felt were needed to make the site more in line with what I expected. I let you know in 2 weeks I wasn’t happy with the platform and instead you kept trying to get me to do more zoom calls and meetings to fix it. Was this a delay tactic to get me past the “cooling off period”? The fixes presented were a band aid at best and not what I wanted or what I envisioned. You said things like “ what you want is not how the market works, or how the customers view sites. Am I not the one paying for this? The platform is misleading and your reason for non-refundable “because of a significant cost to create the site” is not acceptable. My site was up and running in a couple hours. Nothing changed after that. You use RSS feeds to grab information, it's automated. When most of the local website calendars in my area could not be synced to the platform you said I had to put them in manually. Am I to get a credit back since ParkBench couldn’t add them? The only reason I had interest in your platform was because it was supposed to automate this stuff and allow me to have a community-based website. But it doesn’t. Most of the stuff I have to enter in manually or have the business owners enter in. They don’t have time for that and I cannot ask businesses to turn their event lists and calendars web pages into an RSS feed for you. Also based on the “high cost to implement the platform in the beginning”, does this mean next years fees will be significantly less than $4000+, since the website is already created? Are you saying it will only cost me a couple $100 a year moving forward? It is not my job to sell your platform, and honestly, based on how I feel about it, why would you want me to.
