# how to recover accidentally deleted files?

at least provide a kind of trash file so that deleted files can be retrieved

Don't worry — Dropbox keeps any lost files or work for 30 days (or longer for Dropbox Professional and Business users).  You also don't need to use other data recovery tools or file recovery software, or call technical support — you can recover deleted files yourself at dropbox.com.  Unlike data that is accidentally deleted on remote storage devices such as USB flash drives, memory cards, and external hard drives, you can always get your data back with Dropbox file recovery.
