# Windows 8 is equipped with Windows Defender.  Do I still need to install another antivirus to increase the security of my computer

For Windows 8, I already have Windows Defender ready because I want to use it for office assets

If you're a normal user who uses genuine softwares, then there is no need for a third party antivirus softwares, defender can do the best. If you are a user who install random third party softwares from various websites then using an additional antivirus softwares can do a better job by protecting your system from  viruses.
