# Why does this company think it's cool to scam people

Let's talk about 123FormBuilder's scam of a lifetime deal from only 4 months ago. It was to their "gold" plan. 

Let's compare the gold plan they asked us to buy to their new free plan.

Lifetime deal plan
-500 MB of storage
-3 rule maximum
-No webhooks

New free plan since the lifetime deal
-10 GB of storage
-Unlimited rules
-Unlimited webhooks

When I asked them to honor updates included they responded by saying that they were honoring updates of the gold plan - which they no longer sell.

We also wrote to you on the reviews page. We understand your frustration with the new price plans. The word "updates" created confusion here and we want to clarify it. Please note that we talked about future platform updates and the latest versions of our features. The message you've received was not referring to the distribution of the features.

When you have purchased your Gold Plan at a special offer you have bought from us the features listed at that time as it usually happens when you buy any subscription or sign a contract. Your account has all the features promised on the Gold Lifetime plan. If a Gold feature isn’t available in your account please let us know to solve this as soon as possible.

Our price plans changed for new users that signed up starting February 1st 2021. We also ensured we could maintain and provide all the features on price plans purchased before February the 1st 2021 (like yours). 

We would also like to point out the differences in both pricing versions you mentioned.
- Your Gold plan allows 5000 submissions per month and 20 forms while the actual Free plan allows only 20 submissions per month and 3 forms.
- Your Lifetime Gold price plan allows for approval & submission export - both features not included in the free actual plan.

We try to cover as many features as possible on each plan, however, as you may know, there are specific use cases and different user-goals.

Since you are registered before February 1, you can switch whenever you want to the Individual Plan or the Team Plan, whichever suits your needs best. You will find a good comparison here: https://www.123formbuilder.com/signup.html#compare. We doubt the Basic plan (free plan) will suit you as you can only get 20 submissions/ month.

Everybody should stay far away from this company.  You created this "deal" 4 months ago and almost immediately discontinued the plan and made the free plan better. 

Then you want to respond with condescending answers like "if you can't access your gold plan, please let us know immediately." You know my issue isn't access, it's what you consider an acceptable business practice. It's that you scammed the lifetime deal community. It's that you made a blatant money grab. For you to tell me to upgrade to a monthly plan (that's the same price as the one you discontinued after pawning it to us only 4 months ago)  after making your free plan better 4 MONTHS LATER and refusing to honor your "updates included" clause really shows who you are. 

Anyway - if anybody wants a real form builder app, Woorise is great and they're honoring their lifetime deal commitments. $50 one time and they won't try to screw you over like 123FormBuilder.
