# Why is it possible to edit documents on mobile and iPad but not edit documents taken from Mac?

I hope the Apple iCloud in Mac users can also edit documents

Are those apps approved by Apple? You may only be able to do this because apps on iPhone and iPad are approved by Apple before you download it from the App Store whereas with your Mac you can download anything without it needing approving from Apple directly.
