# How do I fix duplicate records being created when a donor uses a different email address?

Broaden the range EA uses to determine a new constituents before creating the record.

Search by street address, zip, and/or last name.

create your list--> then at the top with all the little icons hit duplicates--> you can search for duplicates (will bring up people with same last name- address- phone) or you can select the two from your list and merge (x) duplicates.

It is hard to set up a welcome series of trigger emails when new records are created using the email address as the only criteria.
