# How do I start the new year with old records? Have an existing company and want to Start Jan 1 with all accounting information. We currently use QuickBooks

I have been using Yardi Breeze for a year now. I have never entered in all our company information, because we use QuickBooks for our accoutning software. I have only been using Yardi Breeze to keep track of maintenance orders. I would like to start using it for all accounting also. What is the best way to take QB numbers and enter them into YB

You need to set up Yardi. I would close out Quickbooks as of 12/31/2022, and then bring those balances over as beginning balances in Yardi as of 1/01/2023. You will then need to pull everything over. Its called a system coversion, however, it takes some time and can be very technical in nature. However, that's exactly what I do with ease. If you would like me to send an estimate to complete the work I can.

Will you be transferring from QuickBooks to Yardi or another system? If you just want to carry your information over to a New Year that shouldn't be hard. You close out the prior year and those values should be your new balances. Send me a message at www.TheATMBiz.com if you need help.
