# Can I use this tool for advanced SQL queries ?

We still use the basic import from our sql database for some sends, I haven't connected it yet to PostGRE to write sql queries. I am a bit afraid that it may cause some problems.

Yes. You can use the SQL editor for this.

Hi Maciek, Exponea can connect with Postgres to import events once or regularly via a query. The query supports SQL functions, e.g. join.If your advanced query is more complicated than joins, the best idea would be to contact our live support via chat. They have an average response time of under two minutes and will be able to help you with your specific case. If you want to learn more about different types of data sources Exponea supports, check out our documentation page: https://docs.exponea.com/docs/data-import#data-source
Exponea documentation also has a separate page dedicated to connecting to databases in a secure way that protect your data: https://docs.exponea.com/docs/secure-connections If you are not a customer of Exponea yet, we suggest scheduling a demo: https://exponea.com/request-demo/
