# Is it plan to have the new VMware Horizon session and host "metrics" be available for Windows 8.1? It will be very useful to help us during this Covid/home office period before migrating to Windows 10.

Most of the Act scripts and VDI metrics aren't available on Windows 8.1 unfortunately.
For the scripts we are able to remove the OS targeting but for the new VDI metrics we cannot find the solution.

Hi Florian-

We are not planning to support Windows 8.1 images in the Horizon VM. We currently support troubleshooting VDI and SBC desktops and apps on VMware Horizon, Citrix and Microsoft WVD.
