# What does it mean when demos outputs &quot;1 element&quot;?

 Define a list of values and calculate the mean, median, If L is a list, you can refer to the first element of L with L[1]

So whenever you do &quot;[&quot; it means 1 just like x in a equation here&#39;s one equation &quot;-[-(-2)] &quot;  in this equation you will get 1 element list but if you put the equation like this:&quot;-(1)-(-2)] &quot; then that will give you 1
