The strategy is comparable to building a project timeline based upon when the customer wants the project completed. It requires specific activities from start to completion, while coordinating all of the resources needed along the timeline. Overlay that concept onto a funnel strategy and it might look like this: Take historical CRM data (customer behaviors) for a specific product, combined with budgeted data (sales & profit) for that product, combined with a specific timeline (weekly, monthly, quarterly) and then align your marketing strategy accordingly along that timeline, coordinating your marketing resources to respond as each step in the timeline requires. Most CRM strategies don't vary their approach to the customer in this manner, especially along a timeline.
