# How can I do forecasting with different type of data

I have Data from different bussiness, We want to develop  forecasting module directly using Vertica.

I'm a little confused by what you mean by "different type" of data. You can use Vertica's external tables to query data like Parquet, ORC, JSON, Avro, etc. Or, you can import that data into the database. Either way, you can do a lot of analytics and forecasting on any of that data with the built-in analytics and machine learning functions.  Does that help?
