STAAD Pro gives satisfactory results only for steel structures but in case of concrete structures the results are uneconomical, the reinforcement provided are on higher side. is there any reason for it?

There are many possibilities for that, but it depends on the design code, the user input, etc. You should probably post your request on the Bentley STAAD Forum https://communities.bentley.com/products/ram-staad/f/ram-staad-forum and include your file. Also indicate your version.
