# How do I change the default measurement?

When I go to create a new file, the default measurement is always mm, but I would like it to always start as inches as that is what I use most often.

If you are referring to the unit(px, in, cm, mm) - Just click File then click Document setup. Change "document units" value to your preferred unit. You will also be able to change the dimension, dpi, orientation etc.
