# What is the best way to look someone up through Seamless?

Currently if I search a name through Seamless they may not come up, but if I use the chrome extension and find them through linkedin, their information comes up. Am I doing something wrong on the seamless end to not find these people in the first place?

Hi Michael,

Thanks for reaching out - and great question! If you are searching for a particular person inside the app, using the left-hand navigation bar, if you are able to add in additional filters, such as company, for example, you will have a much better chance of bringing the person up. However, if you are looking for more advanced information, or doing a much more specific search, I would definitely recommend that you continue your workflow of utilizing the Chrome Extension on LinkedIn, Sales Navigator, and social search or webpage to complete those searches. This is a common practice that our power users and President Club users employ and have great success! Hope that helps!
