# Using zoom on Android with Bluetooth speaker

Whilst my android devices work perfectly well with a Bluetooth speaker, this connection no longer works once the device enters a zoom call (neither as host or participant). The little button on the top left that suggests switching speaker between phone and Bluetooth, actually switches between phone internal (i.e. ear piece) speaker and external speaker, but no Bluetooth. Once I exit zoom, the phone resumes it's sending of sound to the Bluetooth speaker. I've tried this with an LG G6 and a 2020 Motorola edge, same response. 
Question: how do I get my Android device to send sound to a Bluetooth speaker while in a zoom call? Thanks

I'm researching the same problem.  Oddly I recall I was connecting with my JBL Bluetooth speaker but now when I try I hear the zoom host's voice with loud annoying beeps alternating an octave apart...so I switch back to phone speaker.

What actually annoyed me more on this one is that when I raised a ticket on their support page, each attempt was automatically and immediately closed, on the basis that there's lots of info kicking about regarding connecting a device via Bluetooth, and attempts at phoning were no more successful either. That's how much they care about listening.

Super unprofessional that this has not been responded to in 3 months. This is exactly my issue too. Bluetooth external speaker works fine with my Android phone except when connected to Zoom. um, how could a company this big miss this setting on the most popular phone type?? Negligence? Favoritism? Stupidity? Apathy?? -fix it if you are capable.
