# we use powerpoint slide decks often in sales dicussions, and when i want to present or share, the "Notes' that are inside the Powerpoint slides to not appear and are not shared - has anyone figured a way to share them? I have used Showpad to open in Powerpoint or Adobe to get access but can't see or refer to them when in the Showpad app.

Hello Scott,
Upon uploading PowerPoint files to Showpad, we automatically convert them to PDFs to ensure a great user experience while using the Showpad app. This is why when you are presenting inside Showpad, you won’t be able to see the Notes from the slides. We recommend writing down your notes on a virtual notepad or notecard when doing this.
However when a prospect or customer downloads these files, the converted PPTX files can be downloaded in their original format, making the Notes accessible again. The format in which files are downloaded depends on how you or the administrator configured the permissions for these files. In some cases it may make sense to restrict these downloads to PDF, while in others it will be more helpful to have the original file format.

Please feel free to reach out via our Help Center - https://help.showpad.com - if you'd like to continue the discussion for your specific use case, or get in touch with your Showpad admin.
