# How do I upload an audio or video file directly to my presentation from my device instead of getting the file from Google drive

The only option available is to upload the file to Google Drive before inserting it into the presentation, so I'm looking for an option to upload a file directly from my laptop

Unfortunately it seems as though the only way to upload the audio and video file is by doing so through Google Drive. At this time, there is no direct file to Google Slides option that doesn't upload it to Google Drive first.
