# For those using JumpCloud, how are you all handling file storage and user home directories?

We have a file server in Active Directory that we are moving to JumpCloud but really would like to get rid of it as well. Are there any admins out there that use cloud based storage services with JumpCloud to get users home directories and file shares?

Hi Chris

Im using JumpCloud with Gsuite. So have google drive file stream installed on all clients for shared drives and google backup and sync to backup desktop/downloads/docs. Its a bit of a pain as its two apps that need signing into but thats googles fault. JumpCloud handles all my authentication for this.

Hey, Brandon with JumpCloud here. We do play nicely with various cloud based storage services and other file shares, but we don't explicitly support home folder redirection to those file shares. I have seen some customers achieve this, in unix environments in my recall, and you might succeed as well, but it simply becomes a your-mileage-may-vary scenario. If you share a little more specifics about your use case, I can try to think of or research some guidance that's more directly applicable.
