# Why does sometimes does it state that the person has not opened my email and I know they have because they have replied

Hi Monika! Could be a few things. Without looking at your account specifically, here are some reasons that may happen:


-If you are sending from a platform other than BB, or other than an integration where we can track opens, we won't necessarily show or notify if an email was opened
-If sharing via text, they won't get any kind of open indication
if they send through their mobile mail app, there will not be open indicators there either.
-Other variables could include the type of domain you are sending to, and if their company somehow has a block on open tracking pixels (in which case you wouldn't have any control around their security for tracking)
