# How can you get better reply rate?

I would like to increase my reply rate from the emails I send. I usually see only 2-3% across the board.

I wrote an article about this recently (https://postaga.com/how-to-get-responses-to-your-outreach-emails/) and have some tips to share for increasing your reply rate:

1. Having a compelling offer in your pitch.

In your outreach pitch, if you are just asking for something (like a backlink), without providing anything of value (for example - your content is just OK / not amazing), your recipients are going to be less likely to be interested. In your pitch, offer something of value in exchange. For example: provide text copy for them to make their jobs easier; offer to write a guest post for their website; offer to share their content on social media. This will make people more likely to want to respond to you.

2. Finely crafting your outreach pitch 

People will reply to you if they like what they hear. Having a compelling pitch that is relevant and engaging goes a long way. Most outreach pitches are generic, so make your pitch stand out. If you're funny, use some humor. If you have a clever hook to use, use it.

3. Fine-tuning your targeting

With outreach campaigns, you can go big and get more contacts, or be more narrowly targeted with your audience. Having a narrowly targeted audience, while it gets you fewer conversations, enables you to have a pitch that is very tailored to that audience.
