# how can i stretch the artboard without stretching the content

many times i need to expand my artboard but i cant do thatwithout stretching all the content as well. I have to removeeverything from the art board and then stretch the artboard and then bring the content back in

It's simple really, there is a 'padlock' icon located at the right hand side of each elements in your design. So, I'd suggest you lock all the contents present in your Artboard first before expanding the Artboard itself. Hope this helps.
