# How do I use the break-out sessions?  Is the chat feature available, or is it just my institution that does not have access to it?

You do not have direct break out rooms. But you can define multiple permanent rooms and provide the attendees the link to reach the different session.
Chat in meetings is supported by Lifesize. If the meeting is taking place in a permanent room, the chat from the previous meetins is also available.

Hi, Amy. Lifesize does not currently support breakout sessions, however we do expect this capability to become available in the future.

As for Chat, the feature must be enabled at the account level. This is configured within the Admin Console by navigating to Account Settings > General Settings. Once enabled, Chat will be available to users on your account.

For mobile, Chat currently requires secondary enablement at the user level as well. Mobile users can enable Chat by navigating to Profile > Settings.
