# How to safety use zoom?

I think zoom is best way to connect the people but news show on tv zoom sale for their user data

Zoom would be sued 100,000 different ways if they did this.  They make their money from subscriptions for their Meeting product and their VOIP product which was released about 18 months ago.  

For safety and security, make sure that your account has a complex password and your meetings are secured by a password so that people can't randomly join.

It looks like your question is more about privacy than security. The reports on TV earlier this year about Zoom selling your data was true, but most of the stories were incomplete. 

Zoom was sharing some user data with Google and Facebook (unfortunately this is a practice of many companies). They claim they were only sharing user info from when you sign up (name, email address, etc), not actual content from your meetings. They also claim that they have stopped this practice and I think they can be trusted in this regard.

When it comes to security the system is quite robust. You need to enable some settings and turn off others in your admin interface to have maximum security. But even with just the defaults, it is more secure and private than most of it's competitors.

Hello Tushar, 

Zoom has various features that allow users to increase the security of their meetings. Users have the ability to set meeting passwords, enable waiting rooms so they can approve users as they join, as well as require users be authenticated prior to joining meetings. 

These settings will vary depending on your organization's configuration. If you have questions I suggest identifying Zoom Admin.

Zoom is very , you can lock the meeting so that no one joins and all meeting are encrypted
