# About Buffer Time

I wanted to create 30-minute meetings, with a 15-minute buffer.
With how the system is set up, people go to select a time and it looks like they are selecting 3 different times - because of the little segments.
This resulted in losing at least 30 minutes at least (more when looking at a whole day) of the meeting time.

Is there a way for the buffer to be after the meeting and not before?
I fixed this issue by creating 30minute calendar events with specific names for YCBM to detect - and I manually separated them by 15 minutes.

By the way, I am not that picky about how long the meeting should and the break, but my boss who I manage scheduling for is.

I guess this is not a question, but a hope for a fix.

Hi Sahar!

This is Sean from YouCanBook.me and thanks for your feedback. At the moment the padding will be applied both before and after the booking but this is something we are aware of and I will log your feedback.

In the meantime, using Custom Availability, and manually separating the available slots by 15 minutes, is a good workaround.

Thanks again.
