William.  Thank you for your comment and question.   First off, there is definitely a tie between performance and salary.    Here at Salary.com we are advocates of salary or compensation tools and performance management tools be tied together.  They should be tied together to perform an accurate pay equity analysis. Our solutions can integrate directly to an HRIS or simply upload the performance information into our compensation tool.
