# How do I add approval flow in Rundeck jobs ??

So we have use case where you would like to have the Rundeck to send an approval mail and get that approved before actual Job Runs . We would like to know how are teams achieving that .

So someone triggers the Job -->> Someone approves -->> Than the actual Rundeck Jobs executes .

Much of RunDeck's power is in its ability to leverage external scripting.  For us, because we utilize Jira, we tied into the API of Jira to get the status of the case.  The job would only be executed if the Jira case was in the correct status, and that status could only be obtained in Jira if it were approved by a specific set of people.
