# Sending videos and group messages (though I haven't tried recently on OpenPhone and use a DIY hack)

Can we intercept the integration of the Android and iPhone MMS features in an "open" way where OpenPhone can send cross iOS/ Android group texts and/or videos like between the users on Whatsapp? Both work well if all users are within the same platform but fall apart in a mixed mode.

Hey Sreeram, thanks for a great question. We'll be launching group messaging on OpenPhone that will allow you to start and participate in group threads. You'll be able to communicate both with other OpenPhone users and anyone with a US / Canadian phone number. So yes, this will be possible and other participants don't have to be on OpenPhone.
