# For all those that use mdaemon, how many hours a week are your IT guys tied up with it, from implimentation to daily managment?

I would like to know if anyone who has MDaemon had even considered that user management cost to the company while selecting MDaemon. We were never made aware of the hours involved, the extra hardware resources required and the difficulty resolving issues. We have since paid an outside resource to fill in the gaps in our IT guys expertise required to correct some issues.

We barely even touch it and it seems to work reliably day after day. We patch maybe once every 1-2 months.

I have multiple sites using Mdaemon (all smaller organizations). Honestly, it's barely hours per month that we have to touch it. I'd say less than 10 hours in a year. Seriously. It's rock solid stable. The only time we really have to do anything with it is when installing software updates and/or adding/removing user accounts.
