# As an employee user, how many days does it take to be reimbursed?

How long does Expensify hold money that should be in a users hands fairly quick.

Once the company administrator starts the reimbursement, the money will be moved next day or in 2-3 days depending on how the company has set up their reimbursement. 

If the company is using Expensify's Next Day Reimbursement, the money gets moved into the employee's account the next day. If the company is using ACH reimbursement, then it will take 2-3 days as it goes through the ACH network. (More about how ACH works here : https://www.nerdwallet.com/blog/banking/ach-transfers/ )

The largest cause for delay in reimbursement is typically the company administrator simply not initiating the reimbursement. This causes employees to think that the reimbursement is taking a long time, when in reality, the process just hasn't been started.
