# Password

"One, how do I determine the password, which apparently was assigned to me, I cannot determine it. Second, I cannot seem to set up our meeting so that a member can join via telephone. I have gone into the admin section and, I thought, clicked all the right boxes but no deal. Thanks, Our groups LOVES Zoom., "

On our company's newest version of Zoom, when we generate a Zoom meeting from our Outlook (Zoom plugin), it automatically assigns a password. The password is included in the link you send out. It is also in the text of the invite if someone would need it for the mobile version. The password should change with every meeting.

Anyway, that's how it works for us when we are sending meeting invites using Microsoft Outlook for our Zoom meetings.

I think using the password assigned to you depends on the template you want. If you want to have one regular (permanent) Password, you need to stick to a template where your own password will appear, and also you can change the one you were assigned automatically. I don't think ZOOM will restrict you with their auto password. It's editable.

Go to the "Settings" page - Under "Personal" look for "Meetings", click on it. If you have scheduled a meeting, it will appear under "My Meeting". Click on "My Meeting" and you will obtain all the pertinent information about your meeting. Now look for "Security". To its right, you will find "Passcode"; it will be hidden behind asterisks, but you can see the Passcode by clicking on "Show". You can add it to your Calendar and it will show your Passcode.

Dear George, It is great to know that you like Zoom.
Normally when a person hosts the meeting they will send you a zoom invite by email which has the password and dial in details. In case you are the participant and don't know the password please ask the meeting host.

1. I may be answering the wrong question but, to get into your account, you sign in with the original password and then immediately change it to something you can remember. if you can't access the app, click on "forgot Password" and you'll get another way to change it.
2. When you set up a meeting, you can select audio and video as telephone, device or both.
Zoom has training videos. If you watch them, you'll solve all of the questions you have. https://support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/articles/206618765-Zoom-video-tutorials
