# Hardware configurations for CodeTwo Backup for Office 365

What kind of host hardware and OS have users had success with? Use Windows Server or is Windows 10 okay? Use local storage, or use a NAS? What has worked well for users. (This would be for about 40 MSFT 365 users).
Thanks

CodeTwo Backup for Office 365 runs fine on both Windows (7 and newer versions) and Windows Server (2008 and newer versions) operating systems. When it comes to the backup storage, only local drives are supported, and we strongly recommend that you use SSD over HDD. NAS and similar devices are supported for archiving purposes only.
