# What is the best way to pin rows in a data set? How do I lock a given cell into place?

When I try to pin rows in a table, I can't seem to lock the cells. In other words, I want to be able to freeze or pin a given row at the top of the interface so that it doesn't fall out of view when I scroll down the length of the data set.

If I recall correctly: go to the “View” tab. In there you should find “Freeze Panes” those options are how you can lock rows in place while scrolling around a spreadsheet :)
