# What's the best way to create a truly dynamic input template?

Always looking to improve our templates - we still have duplication of templates because we haven't found a great solution to truly dynamic rows (account codes that change based on Choose criteria) AND dynamic columns

You have to map the choose options as their own measures and in a separate block. They have to be able to return independently from the the dimensions their choices determine.

I'm not sure what your second sentence means. Could you elaborate more or illustrate with an example? In our case, we want to have separate Department Choices infer different parent level account code hierarchies. For example choosing Dept 1 will have mapped accounts 1000-2000 in rows 1-10 in the template while choosing Dept 2 will have mapped accounts 2000-3000 in rows 1-10 in the template.
