# How's everyone else's experience with Clickup?

I recently signed up for the paid version of ClickUp, in hopes to use it to get a business started (to get me organized, etc.), but it's proving to be overwhelming. :(

Hi, Sammy. I totally get where you're coming from. I'm a single-member biz who liked ClickUp's features and moved to a paid plan. Honestly, yes, it can be quite overwhelming - the number of features available. I still haven't found most of them, and more are added/refined all the time! Good thing.

I'm someone who likes to start with as many features as possible, and tinker around a bit, dropping off features I don't use, and exploring ones I haven't tried yet, until I find that happy balance that works for me. My best advice is just to start with the basics - Spaces, Folders, Lists, until you're used to working with those. As you go, you will run into other, deeper, features/aspects that you may or may not use - add or drop what you do/don't need. I use Docs a lot, but haven't really looked at Dashboards as I haven't needed them, yet. I'll look when I reach that point (if I do!). Keep it small and manageable, and add in small increments. I probably use about 40% of what ClickUp is capable of, but it's enough for my daily routine. When I grow, I'll start incorporating more features to my work style.

There is a setting in your Workspace > Settings where you can turn off Team-related features, if you're in a single-member situation. That may trim down some of the features and make it more manageable. IMHO, the time to check out and experiment with all the features is worth the monthly $. As Corey said, there is an abundance of documentation on the ClickUp site that is helpful, and support is pretty responsive.

Hope this helps!
