# Initial setup process

I would like to see a step by step process of setting up all required settings and platforms before learning the first funnel. I am confused about connecting Aweber and SMTP. I thought Aweber was the SMTP. I need to ensure everything is connected properly and working.

if you are using Aweber, you don't need an SMTP to use ClickFunnels. You would need an SMTP only if you are trying to send emails directly from the ClickFunnels internal emailing section.

As for a step-by-step settings, you can find plenty of videos on YouTube of people showing you how to setup your first funnel pages.

I recorded a training the one you asked but I'm not sure it's allowed to share it here
