# How do I erase the call history and old voice mails?

I have tried to erase voice mails, but when I got back later those messages are still listed as being there. I had a lot of voicemails before we started using this system and I was wondering if that had anything to do with this issue. I would like to be able to delete the older messages so that it will be easier for me to keep track of the new information that gets passed to me through these messages.

Hi Joseph,

Thank you for reaching out. Great Question!

If you are are using a desk phone, you can access your call history and select the option to delete it.

If you are using the Nextiva App, just access call history. The "Delete" option is in the top right corner.

You can also delete voicemails by calling into your Voice Portal or accessing the Nextiva app.

We also added a support guide to show you how to access and delete your voicemail. You can read that here. https://www.nextiva.com/downloads/guides/Nextiva-App/Nextiva-App-Visual-Voicemail-Guide.pdf

Hope this helps. If you have further questions, my email is jeremy.boudinet@nextiva.com. Don't hesitate to reach out. :)
