# “What’s the process of becoming a merchant with Mercato?”

Is it a long process? What does it take on my end? Wondering how long it will take from the first conversation to being up and running.

Getting up and running on Mercato is easy. All we’ll need from you is your POS file. If you’re unsure how to get this, you can introduce us to your POS company and we’ll work directly with them to get everything we need. Our team will then build out your store, set up marketing campaigns for you, and train your team so you can start accepting orders. The whole process can usually be completed in a matter of days.
