# Is there any way to send .csv or Excel files to people on an automated basis?

We have outside stakeholders that combine our reports with those from other data services to track progress in the company. Currently, we have to manually export these reports and send to them. Is there any way to automate this or best practices?

Hi Levi,

While the dashboard functionality only allows you to schedule distribution of dashboard PDFs, you can easily schedule the distribution of CSV or Excel files by clicking Manage in the top navigation menu and then navigation to the Emailing Dashboards tab.
Here click on "Schedule New Email" top right, and switch from Dashboards to Reports. The exporting format options are at the bottom.

I don’t believe this functionality exists in GoodData. You can send the PDF reports generated or you could look at sending the reports directly from your warehouse. That is the approach we are building out for our company.
