# So whos' seeing profit

I pay $50 a month plus KBI credits for this platform. Has anyone seen profit or think it's worth it?

I don't think so. I am aggressively marketing my RON services and basically breaking even or losing money, mostly due to DocVerify's BUGS and how they take a blanket "not our fault no refunds" approach.
.
Is their system booting you which boots everyone else and you all have to rejoin the RON 5 times before giving up after you spent eNotary and KBA credits? TOO BAD! YOUR LOSS! THANKS FOR THE MONEY!!
.
Is one of your participants not getting access to sign the documents even though they are using a device and browser/OS combo that they prequalified to be compatible with DocVerify? BWAHAHA THANKS FOR THE MONEY!! NO SUPPORT.
.
Are your clients refusing to pay your fee because the experience took over an hour due to various bugs and technical difficulties? WELL THAT'S NOT EVEN OUR PROBLEM! TAKE IT UP WITH YOUR CLIENT!
.
Are you trying to add the "fillable PDF" fields to your documents, but every time you leave the page or click to a different document, you lose all your hard work, even if you meticulously hit "save and exit" after each added field? CRICKETS. CRICKETS. CRICKETS. BUT HEY, THANKS FOR THE DOCUMENT CREDITS THOUGH... THOSE ARE NON-REFUNDABLE!
.
Did DocVerify tell you that depending on your state laws, you may need to buy their SSL certificate for $100, but some states may be ok with you using the default DocVerify certificate without having to buy a special one? JUST KIDDING! YOU'RE LOCKED OUT OF YOUR NOTARY PROFILE UNTIL YOU BUY OUR CERTIFICATE! Oh, after you bought it the president of the Pennsylvania Association of Notaries AND a member of the PA Department of State Notaties Division told you you don't have to buy their certificate, and the default certificate is sufficient? WELL, YOU SEE... WHAT HAD HAPPENED WAS.... UH... WE REQUIRE ALL OUR NOTARY SUBSCRIBERS TO BUY THEIR OWN CERTIFICATES FROM US FOR $100. TELLING YOU YOU DIDN'T HAVE TO BUY ONE IF YOUR STATE DIDN'T REQUIRE IT.... THAT WAS A LIE.

...but hey, thanks for the money though.

No and I am actively looking for another solution because there is no customer support, I have great high speed internet and I had several problems with people trying to confirm ID and etc. I spent a lot of money and I am stopping very soon to e-notarize if I don’t find another solution. It is easier for me to put a mask on and go motorize a document than dealing with clients getting upset and actually one attorney stopped using my services because the client was so upset with the RON notarization. I used to close at least 4 closings for this attorney per months, I was called incompetent and lost a $1,000 dollars per month revenue because I was not able to get assistance and the client complained.
This platform will fail because notaries will find other services that have better customer service , better policies and are not so glitchy.

RON has many complexities and laws that notaries need to comply with, and we have learned that many of the issues users may be experiencing is sometimes due to poor wifi. Good wifi is required as each video stream requires at least 350kb, which doesn't sound like a lot, but when the wifi is being challenged such as the kids streaming at the same time may degrade user experience. If you are experiencing drops or poor connectivity it is sometimes best to try to get on a wired connection as well, but if it's wifi to make sure that you are close to the router as possible, and that no one else is streaming on your shared wifi as that does degrade the connection on the wifi. We do have an entire help section committed to this with ways to remedy it.

As for the digital certificate, it is our requirement to use our e-notary platform for RON whether the state requires it or not. The benefits of having a digital certificate greatly outweighs the cost of the certificate, and we highly encourage our users to educate themselves on PKI based technologies. Also, notaries don't have to buy one through us as notaries are more than welcome to upload one they have purchased elsewhere.
