# Why upwork has closed their free connects?

For applying on any job upwork provide you free connects but nowadays they are not providing free connects but needs to purchases. Its reallan issue for new users.

I think they did this because people were applying to jobs they were not qualified for and spamming clients with proposals to sift through.
