# Placemark icon - exact location, end of pin or crosshairs?

In Google Earth Pro, when I want to create and relocate a placemark  I create the placemark and drag it to the point on the imagery where I want the placemark to be.  But what point on the icon represents the location I'm interested in, the end of the pin or the point between the crosshairs?  I can't find that info.  The end of the pin would allow for less guesswork than trying to estimate there the crosshairs meet.

I wish I had an answer for you! I'm searching for the same information. It's super pedantic, but c'mon, this seems like a huge oversight when it comes to accuracy, precision, and consistency across users.
