# How do I get music playing and speaking...together?

When I want to play music and speak over it, I get an interrupted experience. 
How do I correct this?

Hi Marco,

This is Shaun at G2 -- thanks for sending your question about playing music over Zoom.

If you are trying to play a musical instrument or have music playing in the room you’re in during a live Zoom meeting, you probably want to try disabling some of Zoom’s sound enhancement features to see if that improves your audio quality. In Zoom’s settings, click on the Audio menu, then click on “advanced.” Disable the settings that say “Suppress persistent background noise” and “Suppress intermittent background noise.” You’ll also want to check the checkbox that says “Show in-meeting option to ‘Enable Original Sound’ from microphone.” 

If you’re trying to play an audio file or video file with audio from your computer during a Zoom meeting, Zoom gives you the option to share that audio. After clicking the “Share screen” button during the meeting, look for the option to “Share computer sound.” More instructions here: https://support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/articles/201362643-Sharing-Computer-Sound-During-Screen-Sharing
