# Can I use this for creating a catalog using a data source from Excel spreadsheets?

If InDesign can't be used to help with my request, what would be an ideal program for generating catalogs using Excel spreadsheets as my database. It would also need to allow for easy indexing with the option for creating subcategories. I've used Catalog Builder 5. It's effective but extremely limited in indexing and translating chosen styles and formats into InDesign. I've tried the Easy Catalog plugin but could never get it to work and customer service is difficult to reach.

You can import into InDesign and then you would set your styles.
