# Is zoom stealing personal data from user's devices?

I will answer this question to the best of my current understanding. Zoom should only be able to send emails to its users, The Zoom software is not permitted to steal personal data. As far as the security of the Zoom software, there shouldn't be a bug, I believe many people are only concerned with others accessing meetings that they shouldn't or aren't permitted to access. Within Zoom, a host (the person who leads each meeting) now has options to set up more secure video conferences. For example, a host can choose to set up a meeting as invitation only (only people invited can join) or with a password (only people with the right password can enter the meeting) or by locking it after all participants have entered (so no one else can join). May be you don't know this,the users of zoom since very long time went to abort there contract after knowing this breach in India many tech giants moved to other applications and even govt here told the same try to avoid using this application.Hope you read some articles on this as well. Btw I do know the security measures that zoom take to send mails/notifications blah blah as well.
