# See description. Can it be fixed?

When I power cycle target(STM32 MCU with ST-Link)  in the middle of debugging, IAR can't recover - it just stop responding.

In general, debuggers will lose their connection when the target power is lost. Also if the CPU goes to sleep. when you power up device so IAR workbench need your device id to respond you are doing power cycle so yor debug code is not clean in your board and it blocks device connection path to send target board&#39;s device id to iar software via st-link utility
